त्रिपुरा रहस्य ज्ञान खंड
तृतीय अध्याय
बिना सत्सङ्गतः केन प्राप्तं श्रेयः परं कदा।
लोकेSपि यादृशं सङ्गं यो यः प्रानपोति मानवः।।
तत्फलं स समाम्पोति सर्वथा न हि संशयः।
अत्रेति कीर्त्तयिष्यामि शृणु राम कथामिमाम।।
बिना सत्संग के भला कब किसी को परमश्रेय की प्राप्ति हुई हैं ?इसमें संदेह नहीं लोक में भी जिस-जिसको जैसा-जैसा संग प्राप्त होता है उसे ठीक वैसा ही फल मिल जाता है। परशुराम !सुनो ,इस प्रसंग में मैं तुम्हे यह कथा सुनाता हूँ।
आप त्रिपुरा रहस्य के प्रथम अध्याय और द्वितीय अध्याय यहाँ से पढ़ सकते हैं।
प्राचीन समय में मुक्ताचुड़ नाम से प्रसिद्ध एक दशार्ण देश का राजा था। उसके हेमचूड़ और मणिचूड नाम के दो पुत्र थे। दोनों ही बड़े रूपवान ,गुणवान और सब प्रकार की विद्याओं में कुशल थे। कहते है,किसी समय आखेट की इच्छा होने पर ये महाबली राजकुमार धनुष -बाण धारण कर बहुत सी सेना साथ ले सह्यपर्वत के भयङ्कर वन में घुस गये ,जो शेर बाघों आदि जानवरों से भरा हुआ था। वहां उन्होंने अपने धनुषों से छूटे हुए तीखे बाणों द्वारा बड़ीं फुर्ती से अनेको हिरण ,सिंह ,सूअर ,भैंसे और भेड़ियों का बध कर दिया।इस प्रकार जब वे राजकुमार अनेकों जंगली जीवों का शिकार कर रहे थे वहाँ बड़ी प्रचण्ड आँधी उठी। उससे रेती और कंकर पत्थरों की वर्षा होने लगी। सारा आकाश धूल से भर गया। इससे अमावस्या की रात्रि सा अन्धकार छा गया। फिर वहां शिला ,वृक्ष,मनुष्य कुछ भी दिखाई देना बंद हो गया। उस पहाड़ पर ऐसा अँधेरा छाया कि कहाँ नीचा हैं ,कहाँ ऊचा हैं, यह भी दिखायी नहीं देता था। बालू वर्षा से पीड़ित होकर सेना भी तितर-बितर होकर भाग गयी। सैनिकों में से किन्ही ने वृक्षों का,किसी ने शिलाओं का और किसी ने गुफाओं का आश्रय लिया। दोनों राजकुमार भी घोड़ो पर चढ़े हुए दूर निकल गये। उनमें से हेमचूड़ किसी तपस्वियों के आश्रम में पहुँच गया। वह बड़ा ही रमणीक था और उसमें केले तथा खजुरो के वृक्ष लगे थे। वहाँ उसने अग्नि की ज्वाला के समान तेजस्विनी एक सुन्दरी कन्या देखी। उसका शरीर तपाये हुए सुवर्ण समान बड़ा कान्तिमान था। साक्षात् लक्ष्मी के समान रूपवती उस कन्या को देखकर राजपुत्र ने कुछ मुसकाते हुए पूछा ,कमलानने !तुम कौन हो ?निर्भये !इस भयङ्कर निर्जन वन में तुम विवश होकर किसलिए निवास कर रही हो ?इस समय अकेली क्यों हो?इस प्रकार पूछे जाने पर उस निर्दोष बाला ने कहा,''राजपुत्र !आप ,भले आये। आइये आसन पर विराजिये। अतिथियों का सत्कार करना तो तपस्वियों का धर्म ही है। आप मुझे बहुत थके हुए और प्रचण्ड पवन से व्यथित जान पड़ते है। घोड़े को खजूर के पेड़ से बाँधकर यहाँ कुछ देर बैठकर विश्राम कीजिये। फिर आप मेरा सब वृत्तांत सुन लेंगे। ''कन्या के इस प्रकार कहने पर हेमचूड़ ने वैसा ही किया। उस बाला ने उसे कुछ फल खिलाये और जल पिने के लिये दिया। फिर उसे श्रमहीन देखकर वह मधु-सा बरसाने वाले मीठे शब्दों में कहने लगी ,''राजपुत्र !व्याघ्रपाद नाम के एक मुनि थे। वे भगवान शिव के चरणाश्रित थे। अपने तप के प्रभाव से उन्होंने स्वर्णादि पुण्यलोकों का अधिकार प्राप्त कर लिया था। वे ब्रह्मा ज्ञान सम्पन्न थे और बड़े-बड़े मुनिजन रत-दिन सेवा में रहते थे।मैं उनकी धर्मपुत्री हूँ और हेमलेखा नाम से प्रसिद्ध हूँ। एक सर्वाङ्ग सुन्दरी विद्युत्प्रभा नाम कि विद्याधरी इस वेणा में स्न्नान करने के लिये आयी। संयोगवश उसी समय वहाँ बंग देश राजा सुषेण भी आये। उन्होंने उस त्रिलोक सुन्दरी विद्याधरी को नदीं में स्न्नान करते देखा उसके जल में भींगे झीने वस्त्रो में से दोनों पीन पयोधर दिखाई दे रहे थे। इससे राजा सुषेण कामबाण से विध गया और उस विद्याधरी उसने प्रार्थना भी कर दी। राजा के सौंदर्य से मोहित होकर उसने उनकी बात मान ली। उसके साथ समागम करके राजा अपने नगर को चले गए। उस विद्याधरी को राजा के वीर्य से गर्भ रह गया। किन्तु इस व्यभिचार के कारण पति के डर से वह गर्भ को वहीं छोड़कर चली गयी। तब राजा के उस अमोघ वीर्य से मै कन्या उत्पन्न हुई। जब सन्ध्योपासना के लिए वहां व्याघ्रपाद मुनि आये तो उन्होंने मुझे देखा। वे दयावश मुझे उठा लाये और माता के समान मेरा पालन करने लगे। उनके प्रभाव से मुझे यहाँ कहीं भी किसी प्रकार का भय नहीं हैं। इस आश्रम में कोई देवता या असुर भी दूषित विचार से प्रवेश नहीं कर सकता। यदि करेगा तो नष्ट हो जायेगा। यह मैंने आपको अपना वृतान्त सुनाया !राजपुत्र !आप कुछ देर यहाँ ठहरिये। मेरे पिता भगवान व्याघ्रपाद आने ही वाले हैं। उनके दर्शन करे और उन्हें प्रणाम करके अपना मनोरथ पूरा कराकर कल प्रातः काल प्रस्थान करें। हेमलेखा की बात सुनकर उसके सौंदर्य से मोहित हो जाने के कारण धैर्य धारण रखा। कुछ समय बाद ही मुनि वन से पुष्पादि संग्रह कर के आ गये। उन्हें आये देखकर राजपुत्र खड़ा हो गया। उसने अपना नाम लेकर मुनि को प्रणाम किया और उनकी आज्ञा पाकर बैठ गया मुनिने देखा की काम के कारण राजपुत्र की चेष्टा विकृत -सी हो गयी है,तो योगबल से उन्होंने सब हाल जान लिया और उसे उचित ही समझा। अतः उन्होंने पत्नी रूप से उसे हेमलेखा दे दी। इससे राजकुमार को बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई और वह उसे लेकर नगर में लौट आया। राजा मुक्ताचुड़ भी बहुत संतुष्ट हुआ और उसने बड़ा महोत्सव करके उनका विधिवत विवाह संस्कार सम्पन्न कर दिया।
तब राजा महलो ,उपवनो ,और नदी तटों आदि स्थानों में उसके साथ निरंतर विहार करने लगा। किन्तु उसने देखा की हेमलेखा को भोगों की विशेष कामना नहीं हैं और वह सर्वदा उदासीन ही रहती है। तब एक दिन उसने एकांत में उससे पूछा,''प्रिये !मई तुमसे प्रेम करता हूँ तो भी तुम अपने प्रियतम से प्रेम क्यों नहीं करती ?तुम्हारी मुस्कान बड़ी मनोहारिणी है ,किन्तु भोगों तुम्हारी विशेष रूचि क्यों नहीं हैं। क्या यहाँ के भोग तुम्हारे मन के अनुकूल नहीं है ?फिर ये उदासीनता क्यों?जब मै पास नहीं होता तो तुम नेत्र मूँदे बैठी रहती हो। यह बात मै जब-जब तुम्हारे पास आता हूँ तब-तब ही देखता हूँ। तुम मुझे प्राणो से भी प्रिय हो। बताओ तो तुम्हारा चित्त ऐसा विषयविमुख क्यों हो गया है। तुम्हें मेरी सौगन्ध हैं। बोलो, जिससे मेरे मन का समाधान हो।
In the ancient times a Dasarna known as Muktachud was the king of the country. He had two sons named Hemchud and Manichud. Both were very handsome, talented and skilled in all kinds of learning. It is said, that at some time, on the desire of the game, this Mahabali prince, wearing a bow and arrow, took many army and entered the fearful forest of Sahyaparvat, which was full of animals like lions, tigers etc. There they swiftly killed many deer, lions, pigs, buffaloes and wolves with sharp arrows left by their bows.Thus, when the prince was hunting many wild creatures, a huge storm arose. It started to rain sand and sandstone. The whole sky was filled with dust. This led to darkness like Amavasya night. Then there were stones, trees, human beings and nothing was visible. It did not even show such a dark shadow on that mountain, where it is low, where it is high. Suffering from sand rain, the army also dispersed and fled. Some of the soldiers took shelter of trees, some of rocks and some took shelter of caves.The two princes also went away on horseback. Hemchud among them reached the ashram of some ascetics. He was very beautiful and had banana and palm trees. There he saw a beautiful girl Tejaswini like a flame of fire. His body was as big as a golden gold. Seeing the girl who looked like a real Lakshmi, the Rajputra smiled and asked, Kamalanane! Who are you? Nirbhaye! Why are you living in this fearless deserted forest forcing you? Why are you alone at the moment?When asked in this way, that innocent Bala said, "Rajputra! You may come good." Let's sit on the seat. It is the religion of ascetics to greet guests. You seem very tired and distressed by the strong wind. Tie the horse to the palm tree and sit here and rest for a while. Then you will listen to all my accounts. Hemchud did the same on the saying of a girl. The lady fed him some fruits and gave him water to drink.Seeing her laborless, she started saying in sweet words that showers like honey, "Rajputra! There was a sage named Vyaghrapad. He was a follower of Lord Shiva. With the influence of his tenacity, he had acquired the right to the Swarnadi virtues. He was full of knowledge of Brahma and the great munizans lived in day-to-day service. I am his godfather and famous by the name Hemlekha. Vidyadhari came in this vena to take a bath, named Sarvand Sundari Vidyutprabha. Coincidentally, at the same time Bang Bang king Sushen also came there.They saw that Trilok Sundari Vidyadhari snoring in the river, both of them peen payodhar were visible in the wet clothes soaked in its water. This led King Raja to go to Kamban and prayed to the student. Fascinated by the beauty of the king, he obeyed him. After meeting with him, the king went to his city. That scholar became pregnant with the king's semen. But due to this adultery, she left the womb there due to fear of husband. Then I gave birth to a girl from that inferior semen of the king.When Vyaghrapada Muni came there for the rituals, he saw me. They mercifully picked me up and started following me like a mother. I do not have any kind of fear anywhere from his influence. No deity or asura can enter this ashram with corrupt thoughts. If you do, it will be destroyed. I told you my account! Rajputra! You stay here for some time. My father Lord Vyaghrapada is about to come.Visit them and greet them and complete your wish and leave tomorrow morning. Hearing Hemlekha, she was patient and fascinated by her beauty. After some time, Muni came from the forest by collecting flowers. On seeing them, the Rajputra stood up. He bowed to the sage after taking his name and sat down after getting his orders. Muni saw that due to the work, the efforts of the Rajputra have become distorted, so he knew everything from the yogabal and thought it appropriate.So he gave her Hemlekha as wife. This pleased the prince and he returned to the city with him. King Muktachud too was very satisfied and duly performed his marriage ceremony after doing a big festival.
Then the king began to frequent the palaces, uplands and river banks etc. with him. But she saw that Hemlekha does not have special wishes for indulgence and always remains indifferent.Then one day he asked her in seclusion, "Honey! I love you, even then why don't you love your sweetheart? Your smile is very charming, but why enjoyers are not your special interest. Is the enjoyment of this place not suitable for your mind? Then why this indifference? When I do not pass then you are sitting blind. I only see this when I come to you.You love me too. Tell me why your mind has become such a subject. You swear on me, so that my mind can be resolved.
