त्रिपुरा रहस्य
त्रिपुरा रहस्य के तीन खण्ड हैं -प्रथम माहात्म्य ,द्वितीय चर्या और तृतीय ज्ञान खण्ड हैं। माहात्म्य खण्ड में 6687 श्लोको की संख्या बतायी जाती है और ज्ञान खंड में 12000 श्लोको की संख्या को बतलाया गया हैं और चर्या खंड लुप्त हो चुका है।
ज्ञान खंड
प्रथम अध्याय
इस ग्रंथ के प्रणेता महर्षि हरितायन हैं। उन्होंने भगवान अवधूत दत्तात्रेय और परशुराम जी का यह संवाद देवर्षि नारद को सुनाया है। परशुराम जी ने पहले भगवान दत्तात्रेय के मुखारबिन्द से भगवती त्रिपुरा देवी की महिमा सुनी। इससे उनके हृदय में भक्ति भाव उत्पन्न हुआ और वह देवी की उपासना हेतु महेंद्र पर्वत जा कर बारह वर्षो तक कठिन तपस्या की और तपस्या में लीन रहने के बावजूद उनको सृष्टि चक्र और परमार्थ तत्व की समस्या से आन्दोलित रहने लगे। परन्तु वह इस विषय में वे गुरुवर संवर्त से जिज्ञासा कर चुके थे ,उस समय परशुराम जी को उनकी कोई भी बात समझ में नहीं आयी। और उन्होंने वहाँ से शीघ्र ही गंधमादन पर्वत पर पहुंचकर भगवान दत्तात्रेय जी को दण्डवत प्रणाम किया और फिर अपने हाथो में उनके चरणकमलो को लेकर उनपर अपना सिर रखा।
परशुराम जी को इस प्रकार प्रणाम करते देखकर गुरु दत्तात्रेय जी प्रसन्न होकर उनको उठाया और आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा स्वस्थ तो रहे? अपना वृत्तान्त सुनाओ ! परशुराम जी बोले -मै तो आपकी कृपा से आनन्दित हूँ तथापि बहुत दिनों से एक बात मेरे ह्रदय में खटक रही हैं आज्ञा हो तो आपसे पूछू।
दत्तात्रेय बोले - भार्गव तुम्हारे चित्त में जो प्रश्न बसा हुआ है वह पूछो। मै तुम्हारे भक्ति भाव से प्रसन्न हूँ। तुम जो चाहते हो वह मै बताऊँगा।
Maharishi Haritayan is the pioneer of this book. He has told this dialogue of Lord Avdhoot Dattatreya and Parashurama to Devarshi Narada. Parashurama first heard the glory of Bhagwati Tripura Devi from the mouth of Lord Dattatreya. This created a feeling of devotion in his heart and he went to Mahendra mountain to worship Goddess for twelve years and did hard penance and despite being engaged in austerity, he started agitating with the problem of creation cycle and charitable elements.
But he had been curious about this topic from Guruvar Samvart, at that time Parashurama could not understand any of his things. And soon after that they reached Gandhamadan mountain and offered obeisance to Lord Dattatreya ji and then took their feet in their hands and placed their heads on them.
Seeing Parshuram bowing like this, Guru Dattatreya ji was pleased and picked him up and said while blessing him, be healthy? Tell me your story! Parashuram ji said - I am happy with your grace, however, for a long time, one thing has been knocking in my heart, if you have the command, then ask me.
Dattatreya said - Bhargava ask the question which is in your mind. I am happy with your devotion. I will tell you what you want.
